Coupons.com virus reports-Heads up!!

There is a lot of chatter on the deal sites right now about a possible computer virus on coupons.com. Many people are reporting that while using coupons.com, a new browser window or pop-up appears and indicates it is AVG anti-virus software. The real AVG software is a legit anti-virus sofware BUT this is not the real thing. It appears to be a virus pretending to be anti-virus software so you will click on it. It then instructs you to scan your computer by clicking the button on the screen. DO NOT click the button. Once the button is clicked the virus is "unleashed" and it is causing a number of problems for people. This morning, I received an e-mail from a Smart Shopper who thinks her computer was infected while searching for coupons on coupons.com a couple days ago.
What to do: Obviously, you should not click on anything or download anything that is suspicious no matter what website you are searching. If you think you have been attacked, run a virus scan through your legit anti-virus software immediately. Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date. We use Kaspersky Internet Security and have had no problems with coupons.com, even though I have printed coupons.com coupons a number of times in the last 3 days. I just printed a number of good coupons from the site a few minutes ago (including a .75/1 Chex cereal coupon and .75/1 Muir Glen coupon) with no issues.
