HOW TO PUT YOUR COUPONS TO USE

My Favorite places to shop are Walmart, CVS, Walgreens and Target.  Collect their weekly ads, and clip all coupons for that week you will use!.

CVS- CVS is known for their ECB’s (Extra Care Bucks) I like to buy items that will get me ECB’s back! So I look for all their sales that reward the ECB’s that week, and I clip or pull any coupons I have for those items. Make sure to use the Red Coupon Machine to scan your card for Extra coupons, and sometimes EXTRA CARE BUCKS!  Sign up for cvs ads and coupons too via email.

EXAMPLE: Spend $20.00 On Garnier Products Receive $10.00 ECB

I would pull all my grainier coupons, and buy products totaling 20.00 then use my coupons, the good thing is you earn rewards on money spent BEFORE you use coupons, so you spend 20.00 and could have 10.00 in coupons and only spend 10.00 out of pocket and receive 10 ECB’s and that makes all your products FREE! You can then use the ECB’s like cash! (Watch the expiration dates on them)

There are times I do 3 transactions, I do all my items that get me ECB’s back, then I use them on my 2nd transaction, use any coupons I have, then my ECB’s and transaction 2 is usually free or close to free!...you may save the ECB’s for another day instead.

WALGREENS- Works the same as CVS only they have RR’s (register Rewards) I shop the same way there as I do CVS.  They also have a lot of in store coupons in their weekly ads to clip. They put out weekly and monthly items that will produce RR’s when purchased. You can then use their Store Coupon and a Manufacture coupon to get an item cheaper.  Reap the benefits of these 2 stores, and plan your trips wisely, and let you some rewards and ECB’s Roll over to next week if there is nothing you want to use them on that same week!.  But double check the expiration dates on them when they print!

**RR’s are tricky, you can’t use a RR from a Proctor and Gamble item to purchase another Proctor and Gamble item. If you have more than 1 item, say a P & G item and a venus razor, you may use the RR on the venus item. You need to spend more than the value of the RR. For example, if you have a $10RR, you’d need to spend at least $10.01 when you checkout.   I checkout with all my items that will give me RR’s First, then I use them on my next transaction and pay almost nothing!

WALMART- I love to shop the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart, They have a lot of items that there are coupons for, deodorant, body wash, razors, and so much more, Here is a transaction from last week I made…….people were amazed!

MY TOTAL WAS 102.00, THEY HAD THE PROGLIDE RAZOR KITS ON CLEARANCE FOR $5.00 EACH, I HAD (18) $4.00/1 RAZOR, SO I PAID 1.00 FOR EACH OF THESE! THE GLADE AUTOMATIC SPRAY STARTER KIT WAS ON CLEARANCE FOR $4.25, I HAD A $4.00 OFF COUPON MAKING IT $.25 CENTS!. THE DOVE DEODARANT & BODY SPRAY COMBO WAS ON CLEARANCE FOR $5.00, I HAD A 3.00 OFF COUPON MAKING IT 2.00 MY GRAND TOTAL WAS $28.32……..THIS IS ALSO ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE!. I POST MY SUNDAY STOCKPILE DEALS EVERY SUNDAY!

MY WALMART HAUL ON 2/5.2011 TOTAL PAID 28.32

The goal is to stack coupons, use one in store and one manufacture coupon at all times if you can, or if you have a buy one get one free (BOGO) coupon always use those on deals on buy on get one free store items, you will get twice the amount of items!

Watch for any and all BUY ONE GET ONE FREE sales at these stores, if you have a BOGO free coupon for that same item, check with your store to see if you can use your coupon. You will get both items free, Use your BOGO free coupon for the 1st item, then the store will cover the cost of the 2nd item! Again, Double check with the cashier first!..I use a lot of BOGO coupons to add to my stockpile!

Another way I shop is always using coupons on items that are 2/* a price. CVS has U By Kotex on sale next week for 2/$7. I have a coupon for $2.50/2 U by Kotex Products so I will use it to get them 2/4.50. If you have 2 of the same coupon, buy 4 and use both coupons to get twice as many.  Most sites will let you only print 2 of the same coupon, but you can cut out unlimited coupons from the papers!

DOUBLE COUPONS- a lot of grocery stores will have certain days or maybe all the time double coupons, this is great for grocery items.

SCENARIO:

Say you have a coupon for $.50 off Ragu Pasta Sauce, and it is a double coupon day, they will double that coupon to make it $1.00 off! There are usually limits they double up to , usually 40-50 cents meaning 80 cents to 1.00 savings! Make sure you use a store that will double coupons versus ones that don’t. This is how you save lots of money on groceries!..
